The simplest, fastest and most accurate way to locate the position of a sonde can be found in the vLoc3-Cam Probe Locator. The bright intuitive colour graphic guides the user to the sonde using directional arrows. Directly on top of the sonde, a large sonde icon appears to confirm the sonde location and its depth reading is confirmed.

The vLoc3 includes multiple sonde frequencies, making it compatible with the main push-cable and driving cameras on the market. The push cable tracking mode shows a second display tuned to track the path of the push cable fed into the pipe or pipe tracking, with an optional portable transmitter.

The vLoc3 comes with two passive localisation modes of Power and Radio that detect the presence of power cables, CATV, telephone and some metal pipes radiating 50/60 Hz from nearby or overhead power lines. For active localisation, using a portable transmitter, the vLoc3 comes with a frequency of 83.1 kHz for pushing cable tracking. This frequency is also ideal for water and gas companies with generally larger pipes with bellhousings and gaskets, as well as locating small-diameter wires and inducing signals through the ground when direct connection is not an option.
